TIPS TO HELP A
STRESS-FREE SESSION

PRIOR TO YOUR SESSION

GETTING IN EARLY

  • Beat the rush and pre-book your photo session at least 1 week in advance or try not to book during the peak times (Weekend - 10am - 3pm)

IF YOUR LITTLE ONE IS SCARED OF SANTA

  • Talk to your child about Santa Claus and what they would expect to see on the day

  • Show your child photos of Santa Claus several times before the day

  • Read books to them about Christmas/ Santa Claus

  • Watch Christmas movies the night before your session

  • Ask them if they're ok to sit on Santa’s lap. If not, it is perfectly fine. We can still get beautiful pictures when no touching is involved.

  • Make sure your child is well-rested and fed before the session

  • Avoid their nap time, if possible

  • Bring their favorite toy or teddy to make them comfortable

  • Whilst being at the shops and you see Santa, get your child to give them a wave and a hello to help familiarize them.

  • Ask them to write Santa their wish list for this year to help make them excited.

DAY OF SANTA PHOTOS

  • Pack their favourite toys/ snacks to help keep them calm/ distracted during the session.

  • Get to the photo location at least 5 - 10 minutes prior to your pre-booked session time. Being late will cause your session to be shorter.

  • When preparing to leave for your session, if your child is not confident with Santa, play some cheerful Christmas music in the car and try to get them semi-excited.

  • We love for the family to be involved!, However if you don't plan to be in the photos just be prepared to jump in for a quick minute especially if your child still isn't thrilled to see Santa.

  • The most important tip - embrace those imperfection photos. These are the ones you'll be loving/ laughing at in the future!

SANTA PAWS

  • Please have your pets well groomed prior to the session.

  • Bring along their favourite treats and toys to help keep them focused.

  • Note that Santa is unable to hold any furry friends at this stage due to personal reasons.

  • All pets are to be on a leash for safety reasons.
